Protect 27 acre forest in buffer zone of Sinharaja World Heritage Rainforest

    Currently a 27 acre virgin Rainforest in private land is available for conservation in the northern buffer zone of Sinharaja World Heritage Rainforest. This forest land provides habitat for the last 2 remaining rainforest Elephants of Sinharaja. Therefore, it has a high conservation value and protecting this unique habitat will be a step forward towards securing the buffer zone of Sinharaja as well as creating vital bio-diversity corridors between fragmented forests further north.



Protect 11 acre Rainforest directly bordering Sinharaja World Heritage Rainforest

    Currently a 11 acre virgin Rainforest in private land is available for conservation directly bordering Sinharaja Rainforest. We are Urgently seeking funds to protect this piece of Rainforest. The land consists of endangered native vegetation and is surrounded by streams that feed into several rivers. Therefore, it has a high conservation value and protecting this unique habitat will be a step forward towards creating buffer zones for Sinharaja rainforest as well as protecting our catchment areas.



6 acre Rainforest Conservation Center near Sinharaja World Heritage Rainforest

    A Conservation Center is a critical need of Rainforest Protectors Trust, to be able to effectively carry out projects to protect last remaining rainforests in Sri Lanka. Currently a 6 acre privately held pristine rainforest land bordering a beautiful stream with a new house suitable for a conservation center is on sale for Rs. 150 Lakhs (US$ 100,000). This property is ideally situated along the major road to the entrance of Sinharaja World Heritage Rainforest and one of the last remaining pristine rainforest habitat in the area.
